Bruges is known as the Venice of the North and is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe! In 2000 the entire historical city centre was included on the World Heritage list of the UNESCO.
We will pick you up at 8 am at Brussels Expo (the congress center). After a pleasant ride with a comfortable bus we will arrive in Bruges.
Belgium is famous for his beers, so we will visit first the most famous brewery of Bruges ‘De Halve Maan’. The earliest reference of the brewery dates back to 1546. The beer ‘Brugse Zot’ is the pride of the traditional brewery. A English or French speaking guide will tell you more about the production process and the history of the brewery. On the rooftop of the brewery you have a excellent view of Bruges. The brewery has also a connection with JCI. The CEO of the brewery Xavier Vanneste won in 2008 the prestigious ‘Young Entrepreneur award’ of JCI Flanders and ‘Den Brugschen Beer’ in 2009 of JCI Bruges. After the guide tour in the brewery, it’s time to taste the famous and worldwide awardwinning famous beer.
The lunch (a luxury fish and meat buffet with hot and cold dishes of local specialties) will also be served in the ancient brewery. Of course with a glass of ‘Brugse Zot’.
After a wonderful lunch it’s time to visit Bruges by boat. During a roundtrip on the picturesque city canals, you will discover Bruges from quite a different and surprising point of view.
The boattrip will be followed by a 2 hour English or French guided tour in the ancient city of Bruges. During the guided tour you can taste different kinds of the famous Belgian chocolates.
Then it’s already time to go back to Brussels. The bus will approximately around 6 pm arrive at the JCI Head Quarters. You will have plenty of time to prepare yourself to go to the JCI awardceremony.
