Transport in Brussels

Public transport

Public transport in Brussels is generally in time, clean, and an efficient way of getting through the city. The busses, subways and trams connect very good to the trainstations in Brussels.

Prices go from 1,6 € for a single fare to 9,2 € for a 3 day pass allowing you to travel on the entire STIB-network (subway, trams and busses) during 3 days in a row.
You’ll find all the prices on http://www.stib.be/tickets.html?l=en

The Brussels subway (we call it metro) is a real museum. More than sixty works of art decorate the platforms and corridors of the stations, making the network the country's largest art gallery, for all genres: paintings, sculptures, photos, stained glass... and all materials: from canvas to bronze and wood to glass via steel. Famous artists such as Delvaux, Folon and Hergé have contributed works.

The roadmap of the metro is quite simple. 7 lines cross the city and bring you near to any destination. The main hotel-site we chose (with HQ hotel, senate hotel, … See www.resotel.be/jci) is linked directly to Brussels Expo (the congress center) with one of those lines (line 6).

Bicycle

Belgium is a fabulous destination to explore by bike.
In Brussels, you can easily rent a bike from the Villo! Project:
There are 180 Villo! stations available, located every 450m, so there always one nearby.
Pick up a bike in one station and drop it off at the other. Villo! is an esay-to-use system that is available 24/7.
